1. Definitions

• "You", "your", or "User" refers to any individual or entity accessing our platform or availing our services.
• "Services" means taxi booking, ride-hailing, vehicle rental, outstation travel, and all related offerings provided through our website, mobile application, or other channels.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, downloading our mobile application, registering an account, or booking any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using our Services.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and booking.
• Maintain a valid payment method when required.

4. Booking and Use of Services

Yella Taxi operates as a technology platform that connects passengers with independent third-party drivers. We do not own or operate all vehicles directly.

• Bookings may be made through our mobile application, website, or call center.
• Fares are determined based on distance, duration, vehicle category, demand, tolls, and other applicable charges.
• We reserve the right to update fares, availability, or service terms without prior notice.
• Users are expected to be punctual at pickup locations and treat drivers and vehicles respectfully.

5. Payment

• Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, digital wallets, and other options displayed at booking.
• You are solely responsible for payment of all fares, tolls, parking charges, and any additional fees.
• In the event of a payment dispute, our transaction records will be considered authoritative, subject to reasonable verification.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations made before driver arrival may be free or subject to a nominal fee, depending on timing.
• No refunds are provided for completed rides or no-shows.
• Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.

7. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Engage in any illegal activity while using the vehicle.
• Smoke, consume alcohol, or transport prohibited substances or items.
• Cause damage to the vehicle or require excessive cleaning (additional charges may apply).
• Permit unauthorized individuals to operate or occupy the vehicle beyond the booked capacity.

8. Safety and Liability

• We conduct background verification of drivers to the extent feasible and required by law.
• Basic third-party liability insurance is provided in accordance with applicable regulations; optional enhanced coverage may be offered.
• Yella Taxi shall not be liable for any loss, injury, delay, or damage arising from acts of third parties, force majeure events, or user conduct.
• Use of our Services is entirely at your own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, software, and materials on our platform are owned by or licensed to Yella Taxi and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

10. Privacy

We collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yella Taxi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

14. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website and app. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
